2getthere provides consultancy services with respect to the suitability, (technical) feasibility and operations of Automated People Mover Systems for specific applications. These services range from ‘quick-scan’ studies to a complete analysis of the envisioned application. As PRT and GRT systems are relatively unknown, these studies can provide valuable insight to customers regarding the possibilities of the automated people mover systems.
In a quick-scan study the application characteristics and customer requirements are matched to the most applicable system. Insight is provided into the operations of the system for that particular application. Additionally calculations are performed to calculate the required fleet size for a given capacity. The capital and operational costs are budgeted and presented in comparison to manual transportation systems.
A more complete analysis of the application will include a simulation of the proposed application. These simulations can either be performed by an independent 3rd party with proven experience, or within the actual supervisory control system as used by 2getthere. The analysis within the actual system is going to be the most accurate; as this simulation is ran without the system knowing the vehicles are simulated only.
All studies are based on year of experience with electronically guided People Mover Systems. 2getthere can supply different types of systems (personal and group transit) and will thus not be biased towards a certain concept and push this regardless of the application characteristics. Well defined parameters are used to determine which concept would be the most applicable for the calculation.
