2getthere develops, markets, implements, maintains and (if required) operates, sustainable Automated People Mover Systems. Operations and maintenance are vital elements to ensure the continued reliable service of any system.
For the Automated People Mover Systems 2getthere offers full-maintenance contracts (time, materials [excluding wearables] and unlimited use of the helpdesk). These contracts include preventive and corrective maintenance as well as hotline support. The maintenance can be outsourced to a competent local company (to be approved by the customer and 2getthere) or alternatively be done ‘in-house’ if the required resources are available.
The operations of the system can be done by the customer, by a 3rd party or by 2getthere (only when the application meets minimum size requirements). For the pilot applications and the new Rivium-application, the operations were done by the customer. For the Floriade-application, 2getthere was responsible for the operations.
For large projects 2getthere prefers to handle the operations and maintenance through a dedicated, regional operating company. The operating and services company can be a joint-venture between the customer, a (local) 3rd party and 2getthere. By combining the operations and maintenance activities within a local company, the service, response-times and reliability and availability are optimized, while costs are minimized.
