CyberCab Interior Configuration

The interior is designed to resemble a cocoon, embracing and protecting the passengers. This is enhanced by the choice of (soft) materials, on the prerequisite that they are robust enough to withstand the daily wear and tear associated with (public) transportation. The vehicle interior is designed to provide maximum access and comfort.

The vehicle accommodates a 6-person family (4 adults, 2 children) in a 3+3 seating configuration. The seats for the adults are integrated in two benches placed opposite to one another, while the seating locations for children separate the adjacent seats. Seating is comfortable with all measurements exceeding normal (public) transportation standards. Standing passengers are not facilitated.

During the pre-engineering special attention is given to the accessibility of the vehicle to disabled passengers. An elevated platform of a mere 250mm height provides a level entry to the CyberCab PRT vehicle. All user control functions within the vehicle are located such that disabled passengers can operate them without assistance.

The cabin is spacious and well illuminated at night. Large windows provide excellent all round vision and add tot the personal safety (feeling) of the passengers. To ensure the personal safety of the passengers, interior cameras are installed and an intercom is available. Images of the camera can be viewed real-time and are stored up to 24hrs.

Information is conveyed to the passengers by means of the user console, display (option) and voice module. All user control functions are grouped together on the centrally placed user console. Typically the console will include a touch-screen for input of the travel-destination and display of status, information and warnings. Optionally a second display can be installed in the vehicle. A voice module is standard.
