A Sales Support Engineer’s tasks include the configuration, design, development and integration of 2getthere’s autonomous vehicles systems in any environment. The Sales Support Engineer provides the Account managers/Business developers within the Sales Department with preliminary system calculations, high-level system designs, system descriptions and other information in order to  satisfy customer demands/questions and to prepare proposal documentation. In order to provide realistic technical information to the Sales Department, the Sales Support Engineer keeps a close relationship with system engineering to ensure the proposed solutions are feasible. The Sales Engineer forms the connection between the short turnaround times and need to meet the customer requirements wanted by the sales department and the careful analysis and fit the system characteristics and constraints by engineering.

Due to our growth we are currently looking for a Sales Support Engineer at our location in Utrecht, the Netherlands

Job Duties

  • Support the Sales Department with:
    • Technical (written) descriptions (and other documentation)
    • System calculations
    • Cost calculations
    • System concept drawings
    • System simulations
  • Track/maintain products specifications and capabilities
  • Track near future and long-term development plans
  • Track/maintain time schedule for technology releases
  • Track market demand technological solutions
  • Track/maintain cost information
  • Coordinate with system engineering (and other departments within 2getthere)
  • Help standardization of the sales process
  • When required, the Sales Support Engineer shall assist Account managers/Business developers during visits to (international) customers fora bout 2 – 6 times a year

Your skills and expertise:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree working- and competence level (technical educational background e.g. Mechanical, Civil, Electrical engineering) with 3 to 5 years working experience
  • The ideal candidate has a solid technical background/prior working experience in Technology and Mobility Industry, as well as commercial experience with Sales support. 
  • Must be able to quickly understand, easily write and describe concepts in a logical and convincing manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in simulation tools for logistic cases
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Experience with MS Project
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Good knowledge of English
