Sales Engineer

A sales engineer to configure, design, develop and integrate our autonomous vehicles systems in any environment


The Sales Engineer provides technical support to the sales department and bid manager during the sales and tender phase of new/potential projects. The Sales Engineer provides the manager with preliminary system calculations and high-level system design mainly in order to acquire new projects or to satisfy customer demands/question in the (pre) tender phase. In order to provide realistic technical information to the manager/ sales department, the Sales Engineer keeps a close relationship with system engineering to ensure the proposed solutions are feasible. The Sales Engineer forms the connection between the short turnaround times and need to meet the customer requirements wanted by sales and the careful analysis and fit the system characteristics and constraints by engineering.

Job Duties

  • Track/maintain products specifications and capabilities
  • Track near future and long-term development plans
  • Track/maintain time schedule for technology releases
  • Track market demand technological solutions
  • Coordinate with system engineering
  • Support sales with technical (written) descriptions
  • Support bid manager in performing system calculations
  • Perform simulations and create system concept drawings
  • Set-up cost calculations
  • Maintain cost estimates in the calculation template
  • Provide sales department with system documentation

Your skills and expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree working- and competence level (HBO) with 3 to 5 years working experience
  • Affinity with Logistics, Technology, Engineering and Sales
  • Must be able to write and describe concepts in a logical and convincing manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in simulation tools for logistic cases
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Experience with MS Project
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Good knowledge of English
