On the eve of the European environmental and transit summit in Amsterdam, 2getthere has joined Connekt. With Connekt as an independent network uniting nearly 400 Dutch companies involved in mobility and logistics and 2getthere as the leading company in the field of autonomous transit systems, it is a good match.
Sjoerd van der Zwaan, Chief Technology Officer at 2getthere: “We have been realizing sustainable mobility with our personal and group transit solutions for more than 20 years. Connekt is a platform where members pursue ‘Smart, Sustainable and Social Mobility’. As such we share a common goal. The past years we have focused on product development and the projects at hand, realizing the ParkShuttle in Rotterdam (the Netherlands) and the PRT system in Masdar City (Abu Dhabi).”
He continues: “In light of the current developments with regards to Smart Mobility, the driverless car and the leading role of the Netherlands it is important to work together with both companies and governments. Hence we look forward to contribute to these developments and the mobility market in the Netherlands through and with Connekt”.
Connekt organizes the ‘mobility square’ of the Innovation Expo during the European environmental and transit summit. The theme is ‘Sustainable Urban Delta: a green, creative mega-city ahead in the development of innovations such as photonics, autonomous cars en bio based production’. Dutch minister of transport, Schultz van Haegen, will visit the expo, together with approximately 50 EU-ministers and members of the European Commission.
