The Masdar PRT system is currently in its 5th year of operations and continues its performance.
There is a growing national push to implement future mobility solutions in Singapore.
Over the last 6 months the system has continously achieved a system availability exceeding 99,9%.
The new high was established last month, April 2015, with a system availability of 99,99% while carrying a little more than 36,000 passengers. Overall the system continous to show an increase in the number of passengers transported, while the number of trips is growing less rapidly. This is possible as a result of a higher average occupancy of the vehicles.
The pattern in transportation demand is likely to be repeated again, with the demand significantly smaller during the summer months – most likely due to holidays and the fact that there are less classes.
The drops in demand in month 9 and month 21 are the direct result of the system being out of operation for a period of time to allow for constructions works adjacent to the track.
