Do you want to join an eager sales team, realize high value, international and complex transit systems and help 2getthere to maintain its position of market leader in autonomous transit systems?

The Business Development Manager we are looking for is responsible for finding, following up and closing new projects. You work together closely with your sales colleagues and the sales engineers to convert opportunities into contracts, actively participating in the design of the transit system to ensure the solution provided meets and exceeds the requirements of the customer. Given the typical sales cycle, you build relationships with the customer, the stakeholders and the project partners. You maintain your network in the market, forming an understanding and trust with companies typically involved early in the process on the customer side. You are strategically strong and comfortable in discussions with C level contacts, seeing and recognizing opportunities where others don’t and have a strong focus on your projects in combination with a ‘never give up’ attitude.

Job Duties

In order for the Business Development Manager to perform as expected, he/she shall have the responsibility to:
– set up a strategic sales plan for your focus area
– deliver on the plan and sales targets defined
– actively support colleagues to bring leads further
– generate new leads from your network and events
– convert leads to contracts through a well defined and
   executed strategy for each case
– collaboration closely with engineering and management
– negotiate terms and conditions for new project and business
   opportunities with clients and partners
– build and maintain contacts with market stakeholders
– keep track of the market, competition and trends
– work with the marketing and communications coordinator for
   the positioning of the company in the market
– keep track of the market demand of technological solutions
– be actively involved in tenders, setting the strategy, pricing
   and conditions as well as writing documents
– engage new potential projects through presenting at
   conferences and seminars
– be actively involved in creating new marketing activities

Your skills and expertise:

– Bachelor’s degree or higher working- and competence level
– Affinity with Mobility and Public Transit, Technology and
   Engineering and Sustainability
– Experience >6 Years with international B2B sales of
   complex systems
– Experience in consultative selling
– In-depth knowledge of sales and business development
   strategies and techniques
– Experience with tenders, successful track record
– Must be able to write/describe concepts, excellent writing
   skills in English
– Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
– Strategic view, accurate and analytical
– Good understanding of cultures and people
– Experienced with giving presentations to larger audiences
– Excellent communication skills
– Fluent in English
– Ability to frequently travel internationally
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

How to stand out:

   (automated people movers, trams, monorails)
‒ Experience with leading tender responses
‒ A strong network within Cities, Airports, Public transit
   operators and/or consultants
‒ Experience with Jira and Confluence
‒ Fluent Dutch and/or other languages
